So, we asked people if they plan to do any holiday shopping this season. The big news? 16% answered no.
Bah humbug!
And, sadly, 34% of the shoppers said they plan to spend less money on presents vs. 20% who plan to buy more.
BAH HUMBUG!
Of the 83% that said they plan to shop, most of it will be done in the real world, rather than the cyber world.
Most of the non-shoppers came from the 65-and-up age group — 35% of respondents there said they didn’t plan on doing any holiday shopping. (Wait! Maybe it means they’re giving cash!)
Shoppers between the ages of 18 and 40 basically split on whether they were going to spend more or less on gifts this year. Any older than that and spending falls off a cliff with only about 10% of respondents planning on spending more money.
